Case ( Full name + coolers + System Temperature if possible )Ĩ. Card cooler ( Nvidia standard? brand custom cooling? water? passive? )Ħ. Core/Memory speed ( standard: 500Mhz/1600Mhz )Ĥ. Card name ( Brand + version, XXX for example )ģ. Thread guidelines ( post all this information, unless there is something you don't know ):ġ. Overclocking is possible, but It's dangerous. This card works 100% on standard clocksettings on a PSU with only 24A. Make sure that your case is clean ( no dust ) and that all cables are not in front of the Case/CPU/GPU fan(s).Įven though the recommended amps for 12v ( on your PSU ) is 26A. Make sure you are using a stable PSU ( search for reviews ). Only go above 15% ( clocksettings ) if you know that you have a very stable PSU. It is still one of the best tools for Nvidia hardware. Use a tool ( Nvidia Monitor for example ) that logs the GPU temperature.Ĭheck out 'Rivatuner'. Increasing the speed to 100% ( Rivatuner ) will increase the dBA ( cooler volume ), but it can lower the card temperature by 6-7☌! This will make the card more stable at higher clocksettings. Because in most cases, it's only running at 60 or 70%. If your card has the standard Nvidia cooling, make sure that the cooler is running on 100%. By posting all the information ( guidelines ) you can help others to acheave what you have acheaved. This is the thread people can use to post their Geforce 8800GTS overclocking results.
